Debudding pygmy goats: What is the best way?

Casa Grande, AZ(Zone 9b)

We have, in the past, hired someone to use a hot iron to debud our babies. But I'm losing my contact person. I'm not sure I have the 'heart' and steadiness needed to learn myself. Is there perhaps a better way to debud my little ones? What about this acid-cream I've heard about? Is there a better Hot Gun on the market? I'd appreciate any advice.
Thank you.

I used an electric hot iron when we raised goats. It seemed to bother them more to be held than to the burning did! For deodorizing bucks I also burned the scent glands between the horn buds really well. That cut WAY down on odor.

Thanks for the info, didnt know about the scent glands. we have been neutering our boys but I am going to leave them {intact} this year.

Leaving them intact will mean stronger 'bucky' tasting meat.
