Happy New Year to each and every one. I hope every one has a really fantastic garden year.
Dianne did you build your own house?
Lynn
Lynn Yes we did and are still not finished..Hopefully this year we will be done..We love it...
Know the feeling. My DH and I have done every part of ours, except we have had someone finish the cement for the basement floor and finishing the drywall. We have log rafters and floor joist, with 2x6 walls. Share some more pictures, it is so much fun viewing other peoples accomplishments and unique ideas. And it is still along way till spring, we have 18 inches of snow and snowing this am.
Lynn

DD, no wonder it was in the parade, it's lovely.
Joan
thanks Joan.It was so much fun making it.
Hopeing to but some better pics on in a fue days
Diggingdirt, yes it does look pretty in the summer as my DH build window boxes for the front and as long as I can keep the deer out they look fantastic..Please tell me how big is your Gingerbread house??? I love it and would like to take the idea to my garden Club or build it myself....So please some info......My DH absolutely refuses to allow Xmas lights to go up on the house but we have enough in the yard it looks pretty anyways and we always have a 12 foot tree in the living room windows..We are both BC tranplants and insist on a REAL xmas tree and the bigger the better. Here is a shot from my front windows taken last year after a bunch of hoarfrost came in. The cages are my apple trees, protection from the deer.

what a wonderful pic.The gingerbread house will youg not going to belive this but it was a old dog house.i will get the measurements for it for you . the garland around the edges are the little peices of the fake stuff you buy we took it apart and stapled it to the edges and put tiny red bows between each loop. The roof is done with just fiber batting you buy,
Kinnika do you have a 99 cent store were you live if you do you can get most of this stuff there christmas time. The pole is a hanging basket pole from my garden and the little lanterns are solor lights,
the wreaths are home made like the ones my garden club but up around my town we made about 60 of then 50 went on 25 poles and the rest went in different places some on the chruch and other public offices.Ok back to the ginger bread house it has a little roof over the door and a path done with mulch alone the path there are little trees you buy for xmas thay are about 10in hi.
theres a little snowman done with stroform balls a med one and a large one his hat it plastic canvas one of the ladys in the club did it ,it has a scarf and mits as will .the pic doze not show the float all that good must get some better pic on for you.
the club you are in what kind of club is it.
Oh heres a pic of those wreaths
Somewhat belated Happy New Year wishes to you all. Already I'm behind trying to catch up...... Seems as though that's not going to change in 2007 :-)
