Wintering over a brug

Hi!
Can anyone help me with pointers on how to overwinter a brug? I live in zone 5, so obviously outdoors is not an option. We do have a shed that is kept heated at about 40-50 degrees all winter, but occasionally, if the power goes out, it can drop to below freezing. And what do you do to put a brug into dormancy?

Thanks for your help guys! Has anyone else overwintered one in an unheated garage or shed in zone 5a? It seems like the easiest method.....

I live in zone 5 and would be scared to death to leave it in my garage.In a pot the roots are bound to freeze solid,I know water freezes in my garage.I wish I had a basment ,that seems to be your best bet.I bring all mine in around the end of August.Cut them back if they're too large,root the cuttings and grow from there.
