I can get a good division of one of my cl. 'Aloha' to trade for your cl. 'Iceberg' if you'd be interested. Here is the PlantFiles link to it's info:

I also have one of my own pics at the bottom of my "Rose List" diary tab....

Is 'Iceberg' fragrant for you? The Plantfiles entries are inconsistent....

Well, that's a good pic but here's another one that I think better represents the "quartering" and the MULTITUDE of petals! This may actually be my diary tab photo but I can't remember....

gail,
Morning-i just bought this rose,It was sent to me-and when it arrived maine had already had frozen ground,The id-said it was fragrant,I would love to trade.
I can send on the 3rd-4th.and you dont have to send till april-may 2007.How does that sound?

Bay, AR(Zone 7a)

OK! I actually think it would do ok if I go ahead and plant it here. It has been very mild although we did have some 16-18 degree lows there for a bit. It knocked everything down (cannas, dormant daylilies, etc) and I was able to do a decent clean-up, but the ground is still very workable and we've had enough periodic rains that it will probably jump up and start growing when it gets here! (although I hope not because winter will arrive eventually and put it back down but only for a couple of months as I almost always have red buds starting to come out when I prune in mid-late Feb.... sure makes pruning easier! LOL)

You can let me know when your are able to get a shovel in the ground and I will get your 'Aloha' out to you. You will love it! It is a very tough old rose! The perfect rose, IMHO, just because it has it all!

I hate that you bought it and then couldn't plant it! Maybe I can root a cutting for you....

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

i will send out on monday if that is ok i will ship priorty mail -is that ok.we can put plants in ground in june 1st '
last frost date here in maine is may 30th.so anytime after that will be great enjoy ity is a pretty rose robin

Bay, AR(Zone 7a)

I think the post office may be closed until Tues or Wed but just send whenever, no prob, and I will make a note on my garden calendar to send yours the end of May. Great!

BTW, did you get a trade for the pink knockout?
Gail

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

No i didnt get a trade-i noticed some mold on the roots -it has not been planted -I have it in a plastic bag with straw.so i pulled it

Bay, AR(Zone 7a)

If I've got something else you want, you could put it in the box with the other.... ?
Gail

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

I can if you want me too what do you have?

Bay, AR(Zone 7a)

Well, click on my name and look at my journals. If it's not listed as "for trade" in there just ask me, I may have enough anyway. I have a bunch of cannas, too. I have a lot more daylilies than are in my journal but they're all new ones. But there are a few of the new ones I might could get some off of. See if there's anything in the journal you want and if not, I'll get a list together of what new ones I could offer.
