Help with ID

Abilene, TX

Hi,

I am usually over in the AV forum, but I have one air plant, and I want to know the name of it so I can get another one. Cannot find it in pictures. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks!! : )

That's gorgeous! Are you sure it's an air plant, though? I would have thought this was a succulent!
See if anyone in the Cacti/Succulent forum can ID it...

I had thought it might be some type of Echeveria (lol...guess I'm learning something!) and have found some similar looking ones. Here's one: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/107700/index.html

Thanks, Gina. I hope it is an air plant, because it is not in soil. : ) OK, I'll ask over there, too. Pam

Thanks.... I thought it was doing pretty well as an air plant. Ha ha. The place I bought it sold it to me as an air plant. And I have no idea what zone I am in, but I will look. : )

There are lots of terrestrial xerophytic Bromeliads. Look for Dyckias, Hechtias, Puyas, and Deutercohnias.

Thanks, Dave. : )
