Hairball Remedies

Does anyone know of a brand/flavor that cats will accept? I am cat-sitting my son's kitty while he is away. She has been hospitalized because of obstruction in the bowels. (My son calls her his "million cat".) The vet. has told my son to use Petromalt (tube) along with her prescribed medication, but she hates the hairball stuff with a passion. I notice that Petromalt also makes a cat treat.....would it work better? Is there another brand that would be better tolorated by the kitty? ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
