Cyclamen intaminatum

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

This little cutie opened just in time for the Christmas season. The flowers are among the smallest of all Cyclamen. Still several more buds to open yet. This species is hardy to zone 7 but I grow it in a cool greenhouse kept just above freezing. Normally it flowers in the fall but this year it was delayed for some unknown reason....not that I'm complaining! :)

Here's a close-up view of the flower.

Very charming. Wish it was here :-)

We don't get to grow most of the plants that the rest of continent grows, but, I occasionally find one that makes the heat and humidity tolerable.

no label bromilead at the USF Bot Garden, wish I had a row of these to mix with my pineapples.

Gorgeous photos, please add them to Plantfiles when you can. I was just reading about this species in the Chiltern seed catalogue. They say it is the smallest species known, do you agree?

I have 8 species in my collection and it is certainly the smallest among those!
