Recently had a roast of beef dish that had a red sauce. Can't find out the ingredients from the chef so here goes. It was a great roast of beef cooked till it fell apart. Included sweet potatoes and red peppers and carrots but the sauce on the meat was red and all the forementioned were cooked all day with the meat. It had a kind of chili taste and think there must have been tomatoes included. It is an old recipe from days of the gypsies. Anyone have any idea?
