D. x seminole - any photos of the whole plant/tree?

Redondo Beach, CA(Zone 10b)

Hi All,

I have what Logees referred to as the Dwarf Dombeya (x seminole variety). It's flowering but I'm trying to figure out what this will look like when it's all grown up. The "trunk" is tiny (a little bigger than a pencil) but the leaves are pretty large. The petite trunk is about 12" tall and then all the leaves and buds/flowers are clustered at the top. When the leaves get too yellow (usually the ones lower), I trim them off and I keep thinking "what's this really going to look like when it's mature - will the leaves start to grow further down towards the base or will this look like a tree?"

Does anyone have a photo of one that's mature? I'd like to see just how tall it really gets even though Logees indicated it can get to 3 or 4 feet in a container. I guess I'm also thinking about where I could plant this in the front yard....

Thanks!

Top Tropicals nursery shows Seminole as less than 6 feet tall. If so I think I need some at work. :-)

Mine's potted, but it's only about 3' to 3.5' from the soil. Doesn't sucker as much as D. wallichii. I don't have any pics of it here at work, but I can dig one up later (or take a new one)...

Thanks Eclipse and Carter!
Carter - if you have a photo or can take a new one, I'd love to see it. Still trying to figure out where it could be planted in the front yard...needs to be in the right sized area.

Thanks!
Nancy
