I gave Jan ( Jannich ) his first book out Queens of the Indoor Gardening
Kingdom . In 1980 or so it sold for $15.00 and I was lucky to win it for $41.00 or so ! This new book is some what or even better than this book.
I must say I have enjoyed any of his readings !

re-publishing AVs: Gifts from Nature as a three book series. I think the total cost of the three books will end up being about the same as the original $45.00 but at least the cost will be spread out over the two years it will take me to complete the project. I have tried many times to buy this book but it cost so much. Used coies sell for $200.00 to $300.00 up so I will be so exicted to be buying this book also when it comes out !

Really that long ? You ordered from the link above that I did ? I missed the order daye I don't recall seeing that , though I know they did not charge my charge card yet. I wonder why so long ?
Which shipping method did you choose ? If you chose Media mail it said 2-3 weeks.
I paid $2.00 more and chose I paid $6.44 for UPS ground which in most cases is 4-6 Business days.
I can only imagine his book is being ordered by the thousand or Millions reason for slow del. other than is you are getting your's media mail ship ???
I did go and write them to ask why your's was taking so long.
I am now waiting on the re-print of his other out of print book which will have all three books in one and be $45.00 when the out of print is selling for $200.-300.00 $$$ and not many to be fount.
Mel says $200.00 up is a lot of money to pay for any book. I have tried to get this book on auction many times but it goes over $200.00 :( for years I could never win low.
I did buy his first book, hardcover first edition on auction for $42.00 I enjoyed it reading-re-reading and going back anytime I had a question. I gave it to Jan " Jannich" and I know she is enjoying it !
I am so Happy for his re-plushing and new books. I am waiting on his other he said is 43 percent done ! It will be only $45.00 hugh savings of what his out of print are selling for :))

HI Allison. I'm interested in these books. do I understand this right, his newest book is out now for 10 and 15 (paperback/hardcover) and his 3 set books will be 42.00?

The book AVs: Gifts from Nature is out of print. The past few years I have tried to buy a copy but on Ebay they go so high and even on out of print book stores their $200.-to $300.00 sometimes higher.

It takes a lot of work and time hqard for me to understand right now :( I have wanted this book for years but a used copy if beyone ever me owning one . What I will be doing with the series is; I will produce 3 books in the series: #one will have chapters 1-5, #two will have chapters 6-11, and #three will have chapters 12-16. I will also be adding special new material from other writers to each book. As we all know there is more than one way to grow gorgeous african violets. Each book will be priced individually and at this time I do not have a clue as to what the price will be. Hopefully the first one will be available in late 2007, before I return to Thailand.

Yes maybe your Valentines day gift ! I know you will love his books. I told him I wish his re-print was coming faster. Guess they take a lot of work and 79 percent finished means still a lot of work. as the first one he thinks will be out the end of 2007. He thinks all three will add up to about $45.00 but I think it's going to be over two years and I pray I am here to get them !

I have enjoyed in Chapter One how Mel talks about his discovering of these lovely plants where ever he travels ! It took him two trips to the British Library in London to obtain one of the color photo's , used as a cover of his first book ! I find it very interesting learning of his travels and seeing beautiful Avs and more !
