What salix (willows) do you grow?

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Just wanted to see who on here grew willows and how they look - I have baby weeping, hybrid, exigua and nigra I think - still trying to get those last two down for sure and it might be a gooddingii. All of mine are cuttings waiting for spring so wanted to see adn hear about yours to get good ideas on where to plant (have desert willow too but not a salix, doing grat and doubles each year!) Thanks Mitch

I can't tell you much about growing the different Willows since I only have the Desert Willow, but I can tell you that they are all good larval food for many butterflies. Glad to know the Desert Willow is doing well for you.

Good - Josephine it is 4 foot tall already and keeps going up. No blooms last year but it keeps getting bigger. Does it not bloom some years for a reason?

Not that I know of Mitch, the little one I gave Debbie bloomed for her the first year, I guess yours just wasn't ready.
I bet it will bloom this coming year, they are so pretty.

They are stunning, it bloomed the first year just not last year - but it really grew! (Can you believe it is two years old now?)
