Wow, conrats, thoses do look really nice. Waymaniae is one of my favorites, such nice leaves and flowers. Not as fussy as I had heard. Looks like our Queen has really outdone herself, hmmnn?

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

Our queen always outdoes herself! I'm jealous and jonesing for a fix myself, but I am too worried about the cold we've been having for the last week or so ......

I was taking a risk having these sent this time of year. December started out on the very cold side for us which is unusual. It normally wouldnt get that cold until january or february here. But the first week of this month had temps all week long in the mid 20's - 30's!

I know Carol doesnt like to ship to cold places this time of year but i aksed her if she would go ahead and send mine as an x-mas gift to myself! She agreed to do it and I appreciate it very much. I also knew the weather was going to be good for the most part this week, that's the only reason I asked her to go ahead and ship.

We have gone from temps in the 20's the first part of the month to now having days that you need your AC on. The next 2 months are when we'll get our really cold weather if we get any at all. Then by mid march I am opening the gh's again.

Wow, Santa Carol! If I hang a stocking by my chimney, am I apt to find a dischidia tucked into it on Xmas morning? I might just try that.
Carol really is a super lady, don't you agree David?

Jonesing, Ann you are funny.. But I have been jonesing myself. It is way to cold here to, but I can't stand it anymore and am fixing to place an order myself. I'll have to keep my eye on the weather channel, and it doesn't have to be shipped to far.
David you got some really nice plants. I guess since you ordered all the babies, I better order the moms, dads, and grandparents.

Hey Tami, save some aunts, uncles and cousins for me!

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

I know, Tami. I have too many babies too ... I need some grown ups that have been around the bloom block (if you know what I mean - ha).
Ann

Prescott, AZ

O.K. Karen, the aunts & uncles are yours, but I'm going right for the Grandparents.... The bloom block Ann you crack me up. I know exactly what you mean :) I think I scored on a few of them.. Yippee.

Prescott, AZ

There Here...... I haven't taken there photo's yet, a couple of them have a fever and runny noses, I think H. coriacea might have the croop. LOL, we were supposed to be having some nicer weather, Ha Ha it was snowing when Fedex dropped them off. I could feel the cold comming off of them when I unwrapped them ( and they were wrapped really good ). The soil was so cold, I put them on bottom heat immediatly. I think these hoya's are tuffer than we give them credit for. I was tracking the box, and it even made a stop in Alaska :O... I thought that was a little out of the way.. They are all real beauties, and I will get around to the first family photo later.

Ya better hurry Karen..... I may need more....

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

OK, that does it - I need to place an order....!!!!! Now, should I do the winter special, or just get some new ones now????? Hmmmmm...LOL

Prescott, AZ

Go straight for the NOW.. and some of the winter specials..... Here are some of their pictures. They did so good, like I said I think these hoya's are hardier than we give them credit for, it was snowing and 37 when they arrived, they spent the night in the GH and are just plump as they can be.

O.K. I have got to do pictures in a bit, husband is ready to go to the bank.....

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

Tami - I've told my DH that it's YOUR fault that I just placed a Hawaiian order!!! Don't worry, his bark is worse than his bite!!!

Prescott, AZ

Karen, can you tell him I live in Maine !!! Well just tell him it's the storms fault and you need/want to replinish your plants... Besides you haven't ordered any all year ;)

Great looking plants Tami!! Good thing you were home when Fed-ex got there!!!

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

Tami ... Oh you lucky, lucky woman!! The night temps are staying too low for me to feel OK about ordering. Once they move back up into the 40s ... watch out Carol!
Ann

Prescott, AZ

LOL David, I met her half way up the drive way !!!

Karen, I feel safer now, I have gotten a couple of the neighbor ladies addicted, and one of the husband told me, she has enough plants in this house. I said, yea but only one of them is a hoya. I have yet to get the lady to the East of me addicted, and I think she is going to be a push over, she loves flowers and has been real curious about the GH. It won't take long :)

Ann, go ahead girl, night time temps here have been in the 20's, daytime only in the 40's and low 50's. They all arrived just fine. LOL ... Your growing weaker and weaker. Your heart is racing to open up your FEDEX box and to get your hands on that first wrapped hoya, you open it up ever so delicately, you throw it on the counter as you rummage through the box for the second, third, forth, # 11 #11 #11. You examine every one ever so close, to spot that first peduncle and go mmmmmmmm beauty. When you get to the last one, you start over with the first to see if you missed anything the first time, then, start to place them ever so strategically around the house. When the last one is in place, you run to get the mister bottle, to give them a quick shower. Are you ordering any yet?

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

I don't know about Ann, but I think I need a cigarette - LOL, Tami, that was FUNNY!!

Prescott, AZ

LOL Karen, I had to get up and go look at all my new ones !!!

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh, Tami. I think I need to roll over and light up as well (lol). Dang, you know whose website I am looking at as we speak!
Ann
