Non spicy chili?

I haven't been able to eat chili in a very long time because of the spices needed to make it chili. I tried once to make myself a small batch before I put in the spices for the rest of my family, but it wasn't very good. I'm wondering if any body has any recipes for a non spicy chili? Sounds silly I know, but what I wouldn't give for a bowl of chili!
