I have made the decision to cut down on my Hoyas and concentrate on my C&S - is there anyone in VA/MD area interested in taking over about 50 plants? The reason I am not shipping is wintertime, however if anyone in area is interested in picking them up... from rooted cuttings/small to fairly large plants
D-mail if interested :)

Anyone interested in taking over 50+ Hoyas?
Becky, I would be interested, but would require shipping since I am in MT. Are you in a huge hurry to get rid of them, you wouldn't be able to wait until spring? How was your trip by the way? Did DH do you proud with plant care?
Sara
Oh Becky, I sure wished I was close to you. I would love to have all your plants. But hope someone close will give them a good home. But if you change your mind about shipping email me. Binky :))))))
Drat I live way to far away also or I would be over in a heartbeat I don't have a place for all 50 but about 5 or 10 would be perfect: )
Hi guys - I have a few replies "close to home" - I will keep you all posted on progress, and no, I am more worried about good home than hurry to get rid of - DH did a great job, he turned the lights on when he came home, he watered and misted while I was gone - trip was phenomenal! Becky
Where is Woodbridge?
I am 15 miles from Alexandria and 25 miles from Fredericksburg - off 95!
I gotta do some talkin to DH. BIG TIME
OK, update - I have two very nice people that are coming by to take a look-see! If they take 'em all I will be happy - if not I'll keep y'all posted!
OK here is the deal Sara. You, Helen and I take off on santas sleigh and go to becky's house Christmas eve. I have never had any frozen stuff from him so I would imagine that there is room somewhere in that sleigh for hoya storage. Now I will meet you at...........oh I'm sorry you probably haven't been a good girl this year so Santa won't be stopping. Anyway I'll get them for myself. HO HO HO.
Oh I almost forgot Becky I like whole milk with my cookies.

LOL Steve!! I was just telling Hellen tonight that we should get these hoyas, and go 3 ways, but oh yeah, didn't you say that you WEREN'T a hoya freak? Oh, no, one heirloom hoya, one lauterbachii (that you haven't even taken possession of yet), and he is an addict!!
By the way, I have it on good authority that bad girls get more presents than good girls sometimes.....it is alllllll relative!
S
Yes they do but not from Santa. We are in need of his sleigh. Any way I wanted to learn the finger inside of his nose thing. BTW Its not the number of the presents its the source. (well that is what I tell my DW). LOL
AHA - so I can be expecting Santa and a bunch of people from MT!! Come on over! As long as y'all bring Huckleberry chocolates y'all are welcome - and I WILL provide the whole milk and cookies!
I don't bring anything but pure huckelberries. Though another DGer told me that I need to stop that and leave the hucks and larvae for the bears. So you will be getting my last bag of fruit of heaven. Hopefully Santa has a freezer to keep them from thawing. I'm sorry the only contingent from Montana will be just me. I am the only one here (in the hoya group) that has been nice. Sara and Helen have been Naughty! The time we arrive is to be kept secret. Santa is concerned about Ben Laden. He hasn't seen him on his lap in the last 3 years.
LOL - well leave the larvae at home for the Griz and bring the fruit of heavens - silly bears can get their own Hucks!
Ah, poor Sara and Helen, that is what happens when y'all ain't behaving, Santa won't let you come to DC and play!!
Quick update - all the Hoyas found great homes! Once we get a place I can have a greenhouse I will more than likely start all over again! :)
You have made someone very happy Becky. Well done.
Becky...so glad you found good homes for your babies....gee, it must have been hard to give them up!!!! But...it is understandable, they can be worse than kids sometimes...fussy, colic prone, .....
So happy for you!
Carol
Carol - it was hard giving them up - but, if I am to continue with my C&S - especially Fat Plants, I needed to make room - as soon as I get a bigger house and a greenhouse I will definitely start all over again! :)
Wow! Just lurking here ... but, have to say ..... Someone got a real nice Christmas Present with all those Hoya's!
Lin
Becky, I know how you feel, I have had my purges too. (Fat Plants and Euphorbias being two of the causes!)
