Please have Joan get to the emergency room fast! She needs a shot of insulin. My husband's has been up to 800 and they told us if it ever happens to waste no time in rushing to emergency. In addition to the risk of coma and death it is very destructive to your kidneys. She is in my prayers but needs to get medical help now!
Oh Nadine, please tell her we are all thinking about her. I hope she gets her BS under control real soon. I know how weird fluctuating BS can make you feel.

Any word on how she is doing?
Joan's blood glucose is down to the 130s today, I am hoping that it stabilizes and stays low enough to not cause more problems.
I will be going to her house tomorrrow and will give another report after I see her in person :~)

Thank you so much for all the prays that you all have sent up for me. they just began to get it under control and i got a infection in my lungs now it is much better but it sent the BS over the roof so now we are back to bring down the blood sugar. I realy am better because you all cared.

Happy its getting under control yes it is so hard mine stays up to try try.. i got to get on a strict diet this i know now.. may her sugar stay normal now.. may she have good health now in 2007.

Joan .... will keep you in thought and prayer for a quick recovery and continued stabilization of your BS. My Mom had cancer and was a diabetic and had complications with a foot infection ... the chemo contradicted the strong antibiotic's for the foot infection and they had so much trouble regulating her insulin. It would either be dangerously high, or dangerously low (to the point of near coma) - and trips to the ER for both .... I think her entire system was out of whack for awhile with all the different Meds she was on. She went through an awful lot the last two years of her life. You take care and we will all keep you in our prayers.
