Does anyone subscribe to a bird magazine?

I'm trying to decide which one to purchase: Bird Watcher's Digest or Birder's World? Anyone??

Paige, I subscribe to Birds and Blooms, a very pretty magazine, beautiful pictures, but it is more about gardening than birding.

Same here, Josephine. My sister sent me a subscription. Informative but not on a technical level. Yuska

It's for my dad and I've already got him a subscription to Birds N Blooms! lol I love it too and I get to read his. :)

I was thinking he would like something that would be a little more in-depth about just birds but also have some good pictures. Thank you tho! I'll go to the book store and look thru the mags themselves and see if I can tell a difference.

I was subscribing to Birds and Blooms myself this year...but didn't renew because I found Dave's Garden instead...lol. :) It is indeed a pretty magazine..with alot of different ideas for garden projects and bird houses...but not much in the way of species info.

Is he so much an enthusiast,...that he'd be considered an avid "bird watcher".... or just has an appreciative fascination with birds? I'd go with the Digest if he goes on bird watching tours,trips...to that extent;
and go with World if he doesn't....

Actually,...I bet he'd like either one!

He's just a watcher from his own backyard. He's always doing something outside that involves them tho. He raises pigeons and races them sometimes. Once he made this "thing" that was supposed to look like him and teach the birds to feed out of his hand. He had his clothes on it and it had it sitting in a chair. It was funny enough until I noticed one day that the chair had blown over and it was laying on it's head! LOL!! Those birds must have wondered what he was doing!!
