Hi Rebecca, you are close by here in Oregon, LOL
I would be interested in:

night and day snapdragon
madevilla laxa
and lobelia tupa.

I have some red poppy and lots of different morning glory seeds.
Wished I had some sungold tomato seeds for you but used up my last of them this season from Territorial. Need to get more. I just love the sungolds! They are so good to just pop one in your mouth as you are working in the garden.
Let me know.

Sounds good, send me your address and I will get the seeds in the mail to you. I grew tumbling toms last year for hanging baskets, still got one going good in a basket. They were very tasty as well, but everyone keeps saying how good the sungolds are, so gotta try them.

I love red and am excited about the red poppies!

Rebecca

Rebeccan,

Was Lobelia tupa easy for you to start from seed and grow out to a flowering plant? Does it get as tall as they say in the catalog?

Yes it gets huge and is very easy from seed. My largest plant is 4 feet but my uncle has one that is 6 feet. Its a plant that everyone has to ask about, I started my first one in very early spring and it bloomed late summer. Flowers last a long time as well.
Rebecca

Does it need a lot of sun? How wide did yours get? I have a small garden and would need to know the dimensions...I have this one and have got to try it now! Thanks for helping.

Gold Beach, OR(Zone 9a)

The first year it had a single stock so was fairly small. This was the second year and it has 4 stalks so its about 3' wide and 4 feet tall. The leaves are just huge and fuzzy. A cool looking plant. Mine gets sun for about 4 hours a day, I think it could take full sun, but bloomed fine in partial shade for me.
Rebecca

Wow thanks, Rebecca! I am loaded for bear with knowledge!

Surface sow the seeds, yes?

Gold Beach, OR(Zone 9a)

yes with bottom heat, the seeds are tiny, the plants huge.

Here is a link to the lobelia in the PlantFiles. Is interesting to see the actual pictures of the flowers and the information.
