Perhaps this has been asked before, but haven't found it in the archives.Does anyone know if there is a complete list of all named Hoyas somewhere on the net or published? Are they registered somewhere and where would that be? I am trying to keep good records of the hoyas I have and want to be able to update the names from the IML numbers or aff's that are on the labels so that if they change I can keep them current. I am hopping there is a central place where we can refer to.
Any help is most appreciated.

List of all named Hoya's
There IS the IPNI where all published hoyas are listed, Bea...valid AND invalid publications. As far as I know, finding updates to NOID species hoyas and aff.s doesn't exist. Wish they did....
Thanks Carol ! Now will you tell me what or where the IPNI is so that I can send away for it.
Please bear with me but if David L. has IML xxxx aff xxxxx and when it later blooms for him he calls it something unpublished does he register it if it is a new variety? Also if it turns out to be the aff xxxx does it then just become another clone. To use an example did all the H. macgillivrayi start out as aff's until they bloomed and do we just refer to them all collectively as clones?
Hope I am making sense here forgive my ignorance just trying to learn:)

Here is the link. Have fun.
Re: David Liddle and his numbers:
David is extremely cautious about giving a plant a species name until he is absolutely positutely SURE. The only way I find out about hoyas going from an 'aff.' or a 'sp. aff.' to a published name (H. sp. aff. revoluta TO H. revoluta) is often by comparing his sales lists. The number will always be the same.
Other than that...it is difficult. David and Paul Forster publish articles from time to time in Asklepios and with other very esoteric reviews which are hard to find. I sure WISH there could be a major clearing house... alas....

ummm and the link is where? hehe
So we really need to keep track of those numbers for they will tell the story over time. Thanks Carol that helps a bunch!
