This plant must like shade.
I planted it a few months back and I have some in full shade, some in part shade, and some in full sun.
The one in full shade grew like a weed. The others are much smaller. The leaves on those are only about the size of my palm, at best. As you can see this one is much bigger than my palm.
Anyone have an do's and donts for this plant they can tell me about?
Thanks

GG: no tips-planted these for the first time this year. Just to say that I had one in full shade and one in part shade and the former grew twice the size of the latter this summer. Seems it's not hardy to 16 degrees tho (odd cold snap last week), so it has gone to sleep for the winter. Hope you'll post more pics. :)

I have grown Colocasia in full sun to part shade. I find that in full shade it will not produce very dark leaves. Being in Florida though your full sun is much different than my full sun. This plant love water and can grow with its feet wet it also is a heavy feeder. You may want to try more water and adding fertilizer about 6 inches from the base were the roots can grow to it.
Brian you are right they dont stay very dark in the shade as you can see from the first pic and compare it to the second out in part sun/shade. I did start to fertilize but didnt find that it is doing much. Maybe time will tell.
