update on Tutty

Silver Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

Well, some of you may remember my dear little Tutty... we just have gone thru the ringer with this brave little fellow... well we discovered the problem. He has inflammatory bowel disease. His bowel was as big around as a humans in the xrays. Ugh, poor guy.

He's 2 mo. out of surgery now and doing so much better. We have to give him steroids every night (it's nasty cherry flavor, poor kitty) and that allows him to eat his food... which is that a/d formula you get from the Vet but he can only eat a tablespoon of food at a time...

he's about 6.5 lbs now up from 5 so that is a HUGE improvement, his fur is getting shiny again and he is happy, though he no longer has much interest in playing. He's sort of only interested in food now and he's started to say, "Ra...oul". Not sure if that was one of his friends at the vet's or what but ever since he was there he's been saying either "ahh -ooooh" or "Raoul". Hilarous. Ahoo should be his name now. It's really way too funny.

What's not funny is the steroids make him hungry and BOLD and he gets up on the counter and STOVE sometimes when he thinks we're not paying attention. He broke a dish the other day getting up there.

But I'd rather have him in trouble than not have him well.

THanks for your prayers and care for our little man.

Love
Janie
