anybody use ratchet pruners?

I saw some ratchet pruners at a garden show way back when in the spring. My parents want to get me a pair for Christmas, and I've looked and looked, googled, etc. and can't figure out which pair would be best. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions on best source to purchase would be appreciated.

I use the same ones they sell for pvc pipe you can get them at home depot or harbor freight tools
