ssp. fraterna

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

This plant came from Carol ,maybe a year ago. It was already growing on a small hoop when I got it. I put it into this pot with a spiral topiary frame and it just went crazy. This is another one that I cant wait to see flowers on.

For anyone whos not sure which plant is the fraterna it's the one in the white pot. I realised after taking the pic that I got kind of a community shot there.

This plant grows wild doesn't it. Looks like you may have to get him a taller support befor spring starts !! I like the flowers on this one, kinda reminds me of a pepperment candy.

dm, is that H. meliflua ssp. fraterna?

Carol, this is the plant that I got from you. At one time I think you had it listed as ssp, fraterna. The blooms look like those of coriacea.

I do have H. meliflua ssp. fraterna that I got from D.L. and it has grown into a monster of a plant and has bloomed off and on for me all summer long.

Whew, I was posting about meliflua ssp. fraterna, my mistake, two different hoya's.

Hmmmm, thank dm. I have to change that. It HAS been accepted to be H. fraterna...I will get DH to fix that in the Photo Compendium...I think otherwise it is correct on the site.

dmichael... you certainly have a green thumb as it has grown gangbusters in only a year.
