CLOSED: wanted: Aspidistra for SASBE

Madison, WI

I have a built-in planter in the house. It is pretty large 3"x2'X8' but is in a low light area.
I'd like to put some Aspidistra closer to the light source and fill the rest of it with
river stones. Would anybody share some Aspidistra for SASBE?

Enya I don't think you could get them in an envelope. Yoy would have to cut all the greenery off and they take a long time to recover. To ship them you would have to put them in a long box. This may be cost prohibitive. Also they would not survive a cold shipment as they are a tropical plant. Maybe a closet plant would do as well and does bloom in a low light situation.

Thank you for the note. As I read more on them, some aspidistra are hardy to zone 6.
I went to ebay eventually as the found some reasonably. This winter has been mild enough
for me to get the plants safely. Now it's a matter of time for them to fill the planter :)
I really liked Aspidistra as they seem to take dry conditions well. The house is at 76F year
round, so it gets dry during the winter. I hope the plants will be happy.
