You're gonna love/hate this tree. It is messy as it drops little limbs as it grows. It smells absolutely heavenly when it blooms. The love wins out. As it grows and you think it is getting too big, don't hesitate to whack it off waist high. I do this to my 3 ylang ylangs every other year. Here in Hawaii they grow 8ft a year minimum. Cutting them off makes them come back more bushy. It also brings the blossoms down to nose level. If you let them grow really tall, it is hard to reach and smell the wonderful blooms. I am not sure how long it takes to bloom, possibly a couple of years. Enjoy your tree. They are hard to propagate.
