wrinkled Hoya

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Good Morning :-)
I am off to work but want to ask a quick question... My new Rope Hoya is wrinkled what am I doing wrong? Does this mean it is going to die? I hope not... I have another one and I treat them the same so I dont know what I am doing wrong with this one....
Thank you for any help..

Susan...are the leaves soft feeling, with out the stiff healthy feeling of the other plant? Well...you might first check the roots! Soft wrinkled leaves always tell me something is wrong with the roots, that aren't absorbing water and nutrients... So, tip it out of the pot...check to see that the roots are not rotted...if they are, pull away all the rotted stuff, clip the bottom of the stem up up up until you get LIVE tissue and then re-root the stem. Putting a plastic baggie over the plant like a 'dome' will help the plant retain humidity....

Carol,
Ok I got home about 1/2 ago and I did what you said .. I looked at the roots.. They seem fine.. Now the plant was moist so I put in dry soil and repotted.. The leaves are not as hard as my other or the nice shine that the other has... BUT after looking closer the tops of the leaves are wrinkled not the underneath... I think it is stress from the trip in the box.. I did find a white cob web but no bugs.. I rinsed every leave and found allot came off... I put it in the baggie also... So that is it so far... I will keep you posted... Oh should I give this hoya heat or extra light?
Thank you Carol for your help..

After travelling in the box...I aways find it best to keep the hoya in low light and take it into brighter light slowly.

I think it should be OK with normal heat and light...they aren't fussy.
