Thanks again for the link! WOW! I am not new to AVs, but haven't had them for several years, but I am new to the Wasp and boy how I love them. I just saw on this website that Rhapsodie Fenja is a Wasp and I didn't know that. This is one that my daughter and I both had several years ago and lost. I have been in search of it ever since. Well, I should say that I have been going through all of the AVs at our local stores like Wal-Mart and Lowes searching for it. lol! I remember getting it at Wal-Mart though but that must have been 6 or 8 years ago. I had no idea that it was by Rhapsodie though and now maybe I can find it again since I have that bit of info. :) I think I will do a google search now. :)

Thank you again for your help, it is so much appreciated.

1gardengram,

Here ya go; :)

Wasp definition: Bloom type. Describes an African Violet flower that is a single, but on which the top two, smaller petals curl back.

Jannich, I love the Fire Wasp too! SO pretty. I also am waiting on leaves from BLUE OWL and BLUETAIL FLY. I can't wait to get babies.

I am also hunting for Rhapsodie Fenja so if anyone has it for trade or sale, please let me know. Or if you know of someone who has it. . . or leaves, I would be interested.

Thanks and Have a great day all!

Elizabeth Wasp are great ! Some of the Vendors like Bluebirds sell them some of the Vendors sell leaves Fay use to ? Nancy websight is selling leaves again the leaves start about $8.00 up and $20.00 for small started of some. Best way is to share and trade :))
I love Optimara's Rhapsodie line hope you can find you plant !
Yes Fire wasp is great ! The only one I have growing is Senk's Vespa Verde (D. Senks)
Love it :)) And many times on Ebay it goes $30.00 up and David sold it as high as $100.00 . I don't see David selling plants anymore I wonder why ??
Vespa Verde (D. Senks) It has white wasp blossoms variably edged in green.Variegated Foliage, Delicate Green-edged Wasp Blossoms "Vespa Verde" Vespa Verde blooms easily and its medium green semi-miniature occasionally-bustled foliage forms a nice rosette Semiminiature (User Database)
I've grown most of them but gave them all away. I know a lot of the people here on DG's have The Martin and Royal Wasp plants maybe leaves or babies to share. These plants are easy to progate and grow and bloom all the time !

tigit--Thank you for answering my question. I learn new things on this forum just about every time I look.

A couple more 'The Martian' pics....

I enjoyed growing The Martian...liked the wasp blossoms and bustled (compound) leaves. It grew to be a fairly large plant...unique and different...other worldly. Did well in natural light.
