are not growing back. I stopped in a local nursery in Baytown and right before my eyes were a few hibiscus. The first one I picked up was a Black Dragon in a 1 gallon. When I ask how much it was 12.50 regular price. Those 2 were leggy so I ask if they had any more. I went in the greenhouse and they had 2. One had 3 buds. It is on my kitchen table. The one bud were it emerges was yellow then browm. I touched it and it fell off.
I my much surprise it is a seed pod. I wonder if it is a mix? or was pollinated with other black dragons.
I need to grow some patience now. When the plants first bloom opens we will see if truely a Black Dragon.
Rolling fingers on the table, Open, Open, Open.
I hope it is.
I am in need of aztec grass my neighbor mowed over and some
My Black Dragon sets seed with every flower. Because the plant was new and young I snipped them off and never bothered to see if they were fertile or not. I suspect they will not be fertile.
Don't think your Aztec will grow back before Spring.
Or even if they are fertile, they're unlikely to come true from seed because Black Dragon is a hybrid. But who knows, you may get something really interesting and different!
