My friend Clare shared a few pics of 'Joli' a short time ago. I was happy to see the plant I shared with her is thriving. Mine just sat until it got cooler and now they are all starting to bloom up a storm. Here's a single flower of Joli----though she does tend to throw doubles quite often. Some of these are supposed to be a bit darker--almost red, but I suspect the recent temps in the mid 40s have something to do with this.

I am constantly amazed at the different varieties out there. Beautiful flowers... congratulations.

Your pics are awesome, Brad! That surely was so nice of you to share both 'Joli' and 'Angel's Moonlight' with me, and I am forever grateful:-) You are a good friend:-) I was floored when I saw 'Jolie' put out a double. I had no idea that she would do that! I think she has climbed right up to the top of my favorite brugs now, along with 'Duchess,' of course!
Great looking brugs there Brad! I hope you post a picture of your 'Phänominal' when it opens all the way.
Clare,
Angel's Moonlight is now officially ORANGE! I had never had an orange(well at least that has bloomed yet) before and now I understand that they tend to show their true colors more late in the year and in spring. It looks almost like a totally different Brug! I hope yours blooms soon for you.
Thanks everybody! Glad you are enjoying them.
Kell, I definitely will. I have been waiting for moths for this one to open and hope it is as beautiful as the pics I have seen of it.
Thanks, Brad! That is really cool. I bet my AM will bloom this spring. I bet your 'Duchess' will bloom for you next spring as well, and then you can compare the two and see if one is darker than the other. Probably AM will be darker than 'Duchess,' but 'Duchess' puts out quite a few triples, and so I love her.
Are these all Ann Kirchner-Abel Brugs? I hadn't heard of 'Joli' before!
Those are beautiful !! I especially love Joli, Phanominal and Salmon Perfection. Wow :)) Thank you for sharing.....can't wait for Spring and more blooms. God bless and Merry Christmas, Margo
Hot!!!!!
Thanks everyone. :)
Alistair, the person from whom I got them said that they are all Kirchner-Abel brugs.
Thanks Brad: and those colors are fantastic!
Congrats to both of you, she is yummy!!!!!!
They are all beautiful. I sure enjoyed the pictures. Thank you very much.
They all are pretty. Nice color on them, too.
Awesome color, Brad. I love the tendrils on 'Rosalla' especially. What a gorgeous flower!
The colors are just so great! That picture of Rosalla is so good. Are you trying to get seedpods on these great DPs?
Kell,
Hoping and PRAYING for some seedpods. :-)
Brad
Great! I love how so many people are making great brugs. I bet you get some great ones!!
You have a great gift for growing brugs. You must go crazy when you get the pollen brush in your hand. keep up the good work. Joan
Those are very pretty colors Brad! I may have to retire to Florida. You guys have Brug heaven in the winter.
Thanks everybody. I fretted over these for several months, expecting them to do like my other brugs do---bloom more or less throughout the year. For example, my Pink Insignis and White Suaveolans are HUGE and bloom quite often all year. These German ones are young plants though. I think with their European heritage, they prefer a cooler bloom season. They are all blooming like crazy now. My other brugs are all blooming as well, so the yard smells wonderful in the evening---downright intoxicating. I imagine these will be for the most part Spring and Fall bloomers for me. Twice a year is worth it, I think as the colors and shapes are amazing.
If I was a brug and lived in your area or mine, I'd bloom in the spring, fall, winter, and forget the summer, leave that for the crape myrtle, gardenia, day lily, iris, etc. Do yours bloom all year round, like, will you have winter blooms??
The others do bloom off and on throughout the year. Occasionally we get a light freeze and I get some light damage but they rebound quickly. My Pink Insignis is 10+ feet tall, and my White Suaveolans is about 8 feet with an equal spread---looks like a small tree.
