I can't wait one more day..

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Sounds Like a Country song title don't it??? LOL This is a pic of a bud that will open Sat. on a seedling that is 7 months old. I got all excited and carefully (I know you shouldn't do this) opened the edges just a little.......OK a lot!! There I said it. :-) It has yellow splashes on an orange sherbet colored petal. Not sure what the center will be till tomorrow. I can't wait....this seed pod was from a plain Jane pure yellow Ft. Myers type.

Will post pics of the open flowers tomorrow.

Kyle, you may not be thrilled, so I'll be thrilled for you.
I like that color and the streaks of hot pink are fabulous. yellow patches kind of give the petals some depth too.
opinions are just that, but I like it.

I like it. post more pictures as they open please :o)

Mol, Belgium(Zone 8a)

If it overlapps better in next blooms it can be a nice spotted orange. Has it thick or thin texture? Which are the parents, if they're known?

I love the way the hot pink fades into the orange. While the standard may be to have more overlap in the petals; I still love the old fashioned, flat, open look of some flowers.
