Beautiful pictures guys. Thank you for sharing.
Mark, I just recently picked up P. loefgrenii 'Corupa'. I hope to see those gorgeous flowers on my own plant next summer!
Erick
Erick, mine grew kinda wirey, but then again, it was in the damaged greenhouse amongst dead plants. I was suprised to see it alive and even more so last week when I saw buds on it. It sure does have nice flowers though. Did you buy yours from me or Elizabeth or did you buy seeds?
Mark
Mark,
Agreed, my loefgrenii 'Corupa' vine is more "wirey" in habit than other Passifloras I grow, in that the stems are very slender and the leaves smaller and more widely spaced. It still looks like it will make an attractive plant though. And certainly the flowers make it all worth it! I picked mine up on eBay from Elizabeth (along with 'Blue Bouquet', which has always appealed to me for some reason and has long been on my "list"). I was thrilled with the plants - huge and lush, with lots of new growth (thank you again Elizabeth!). The cuttings I started rooting of both varieties about a week ago still look great, so I am cautiously optimistic that I can propogate them. I am much less optimistic about the kerminsina seeds I planted a couple months back, however. I may have to pick that one up as a plant next spring.
BTW, that P. retepetala is very striking as well. It's the successes of talented Passiflora afficiandos like you that feed the enthusiasm of amateurs like me!
Hope you are well.
Erick
Erick, sorry to add to your addiction. lol Anyhow, if you need Kermesina next year, I should have some available. I was gonna wait until about March or April to put them on ebay. Just get in touch with me before that (if you remember of course). I have a bad memory so I tell everyone that I won't remember until they remind me. lol
