Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

This past year we designed and installed a lot of outdoor fireplaces .
Most were custom made out of stone and permanently installed into the landscape but a few, ( my own included ) were off the shelf store bought units , making them easily transportable around the yard.

I am wondering if you think that this is just a trend that will peter out in the next year or two or if those who invested in an outdoor fireplaces/ fire rings will find continued use and find value in their investment ?

Does anyone reading this have an outdoor fire ring/ fire place and how often do you use it ?
Have you made it a focal point or a destination area in the garden ?

If you have one would you be willing to share photographs of it ?
