Could I get some of the Hawthorne seeds?
I would also like some of the crepe myrtle seed.
I have some forsythia seed and some job's tears seed. I have some seed for a four o clock that has a unique scent other than the regular ones also if you are interested in trading.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

I would love the Centratherum Intermedium and Spicata Plumosa if you have enough. I will send you a d-mail with trade options.

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Windy,
Have the Indian Hawthorn and crepe myrtle for ya. I take the Job's tears and four o'clocks. I purchased 2 forsythia shrubs a few weeks ago from Lowe's at 50% off because they were looking kind of straggly. I took some cuttings and got some to root before the colder weather started. Managed to get 6 more plants so I'm good on those.

JoAnn

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Thanks, I will get yours in the mail tomorrow. I am always propagating my forsythias from cuttings also. I am looking forward to growing the crepe myrtle and Hawthorne you have.
I am in the address exchange also.

Thanks on the Red Glow four o'clocks! I'd love to try them.

LeBug,
Whatever you want to send of the pansy's is fine. I've got plenty of the Indian Hawthorn and tons of Brazilian Bachelor Buttons. The plant smells like tobacco to me and got very bushy with loads of pretty blue flowers.

Windy,
Those crape myrtles are pretty hardy, too. I started six more trees from 2005 seeds in September and they sprouted right away and are now about 6 inches tall. Of course, no leaves right now. You have seeds from this years' harvest.

LeBug,
Got the pansy seeds yesterday. Thank you! Now if I can keep the deer from eating these....
Actually, with the ones I currently have planted, I seem to be having good luck with hanging a bar of Dial over the bed and adding the brushed out hair from my dog spread around the plants. I intend to win this battle one way or another!

JoAnn

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

JoAnn, I hope you got my seeds. I mailed them quite a while ago.

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

Hi JoAnn, I got the seeds today, thank you so much, it's always a pleasure to trade with you :-)

It's funny that you mentioned the dog hair, I go to the groomers and get all kinds of dog hair for my plants outside lol I sell plants and everyone gets a kick out of the dog hair everywhere, I use it for the chipmucks. Good luck with the pansies and the deer lol
Lea

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

I have pansies outdoors and the deer never bother them. I even have them out by the mailbox near the woods, and those are fine also. Good luck.

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Oh, yes, Windy! I'm so sorry, I usually let everyone know they arrived before they go into the seed box. I must have missed doing that. They arrived safe and sound. I've been trying to grow Job's Tears for a while, but haven't had much success. I'm looking forward growing the Red Glow 4 o'clocks, too, since I had such good luck with the yellow ones.

JoAnn

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Try putting the job's tears into a pot of potting soil to start them. I had some in a pot and they over-wintered in my garage. Then in the following spring I just took them out of the pot and placed them in the garden where I wanted them. They seem to grow pretty easily as this is only my second year with them and they survived well in the drought.

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Gina,
Your seeds arrived today, thanks!

JoAnn

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Windy,
I plan on WSing again this year. I've got tons of seeds to try along with the Job's Tears.

JoAnn

Winterville, GA(Zone 8a)

Pauletta,
the Batface Cuphea arrived today! Thanks, JoAnn
