Well today in the mail I got two new hoyas.... They came from the Dutchlady1(Hetty) That was so nice of you Hetty I cant thank you enough... I sent you a d-mail .. :-) One is a H.Carnosa and the other a H.Carnosa compacta... Nice and pretty....
I could use some help in the planting part... Like do I put in water or in soil? do I add anything like Super Thrive to the water if this is the way to go??? Or root Hormone to the bottom if it is to go into the soil??? Thanks for any help and Most thank you Hetty

Hi Susan

Congrats on the new plants. I used Dip n Grow and stuck mine in potting soil in Sept. I only lost 1 leaf. I left them on a table on the back patio and they are fine but it just got cold here last night. Where you are at is totally different.

Susan...there are tons of threads, and some in the sticky post about rooting cuttings...just as there are just as many ways to do it!!! This is a tough time of year to root cuttings as the days are still winding DOWN and the plants are shutting their systems down. But hoyas are tough....and in a warm spot you should have no problems...

Christina on My Hoyas - www.myhoyas.com has some good information on rooting cuttings as well.
