I have been wondering where she went. She loves brugmansia so very much. I do not think I ever met someone with such enthusiasm as she has. Do you know when she had the stroke? She really has had such a hard time of it. I remember last time her husband had a hard time keeping all her plants alive for her. Best thoughts going her way. It is so sad to think of her ill especially during this joyous season.
I had a message on my phone that she had a stroke and that she was going to ICU. There was a phone number for me to call, I left a message. If I find out anything I will let you all know.

Oh NO the ICU? She is so young to have so many strokes. And such a nice person. If you talk to her family make sure they tell her we are all praying for her. She sure has bounced back in the past so I am really hopeful. I know she is so thrilled with all the fancy brugs people have sent to her. I hope they do OK till she gets home to them all herself.

I am new here and just read all your replies to the thread. My husband had 3 strokes TIA'S( mini strokes). If she is in ICU they are full blown and prayers are needed that she recover without deficits. Incidentally am a R.N.Stokes does not descriminate, age does not matter.I hope you do not mind me putting in what I know about strokes. Bellie

Hi Everyone. thanks for the prayers.
I got out of ICU last night around 10 pm and send to a reg room. I was dismissed today , will be having out patient care . Speech, OT and Pt. My stroke this time affectted my right side . I am able to move my right arm and am starting to move my right leg where I can more or less move around with a walker.
Afer I regain my health from the stroke, I will be having a heart cath and more than likely open heart surgery. When it rain it pours. They are still trying to get my blood presure to stay down and my heart rate. Am on 3 different meds for that.. But since I dont have health ins. they get you out of the hospital as soon as posbile..thanks for the prayers. I have a long road ahead of me yet....on the strokes the doctor said nothing else can be done it is in my genes.runs in the family as do heart problems....I know I can go into a cardic attack when they do the heart cath.its happened to 3 of my family already. I am at peace with withever happens. I will not live my life in fear.I will do my gardening which is my passion and spend time with family and friends. in the marn time I am perparing my daughters for what might happen . I dont want them to be unperpared . The oldest works in the hospital so knows but my 25 year old baby doesnt ..I have let them know my wishes as far as what I want and I have a living will ready.It is all in God's hands..

Elva, I am praying for you to regain your strength and for your heart to be healed as well. Take care and try to be patient with your body....I know it is soo hard to do. Not being in control is very difficult. Bless you and your family as you go through this together.

So glad to see you post, Elva. We've been so worried about you. Thank God you're doing as well as you are with what you're going thru. Praying that you'll soon be on the road to total recovery. Hang in there, we're pulling for you.
