spreading strawberry monster

Vashon, WA(Zone 8b)

I bought a creeping thyme plant last winter that happened to have a small strawberry plant tucked in at the side of the pot. I noticed this at planting, but didn't take it out because it had pretty, bright pink flowers and I thought they looked fine together. The strawberry was well behaved all through the spring. It began putting out some side shoots this summer, but not too many and I let it go because I thought I might like to have a few more of them to place elsewhere in the garden. I hadn't been out in that part of the yard much since September, and during that time, the stealth strawberry monster has erupted. The side runners have sprouted far and wide with perhaps a hundred offspring. Most are fairly easy to uproot, but those that jumped into my irish moss between the patio pavers are a real bear to dig out. I only hope that the roots I left behind are not going to plague me for years. Does anybody know what this plant might be? Is it an invasive masquerading as another pretty face, or is it a plant worth keeping around under certain conditions and circumstances? If anyone should want some (after I have fairly well maligned it) I have many.

Could it be this one? http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/2231/index.html
It's rather vigorous.

Most likely what growin' said... pink panda. I have a bunch growing in one of my gardens and regularly cut and weed.

I think it must be pink panda, as you both suggest. It is really a pretty flower, and keeps bloomimg much of the year,so it is not terrible, just something I'll have to keep an eye on, and perhaps move to another location in the yard so it doesn't plant itself in the patio paver cracks where it is difficult to remove.
