PLEASE worm your puppies! (graphic content included)

Hulbert, OK(Zone 7a)

Hello all,

We recently adopted a new puppy, hopefully
I will get a good picture of her and will make a
separate post.

This post is to remind everyone how important
it is to worm your pets. We treated our little one
with Lambert Kay Liquid Wormer. Wow. Five dollars
and some change from Wal Mart, and the little pup
is feeling a world better!

I had never seen hookworms or roundworms before,
so I was absolutely shocked when I saw them.

If you are easily disturbed or have a queasy stomach,
read no further.

These worms looked like a pile of six inch spaghetti noodles
with hooks on the end. I have never seen anything so disgusting
come out of a little puppy. I called the center that arranged the
adoption to ask them if they could please contact the previous
owners to let them know. If our puppy has been treated and
her siblings have not, imagine how heavily infested they are!
I won't go into detail, suffice it to say it would appear sanitation
was not a priority in her previous home. Poor thing!

Ugh!

Photo shows a sample. I hate to be graphic, but folks, if
your puppies have this nasty thing in their system, imagine
how uncomfortable they are! Spots on the carpet are
part of the carpet design.

We treated our older dog as well, because she has been
acting like a mother to the pup and could be exposed as well.

Please worm your puppies and dogs.
