Pond plant trades

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

My pond is getting out of control, even with a few raids by the swans and geese I still have to constantly rip things out and throw them in the swan pond.DH says TRADE THEM!!(Not the swans)I know its hot out but if anyone would like to try Heres what I have too much of : Mexicanna (semi tropical )water lily ,Large and dwarf Umbrella Palm , Lotus seedlings ,Pink and yellow, not sure which is which (they have the new leaves that stand up and out of the water )Frog bit ,water fern ,cattails, yellow flag iris(it got over 5 foot in hight this year, just the leaves),lizards tail, and possibly some white turtle head. What I am looking for : Variegated anything, hardy and tropical marginals,a nite blooming tropical lily,Taros, anything unusual .. If you have some of a premium plant that you can trade I will trade multiple plants for one.

CC, you don't want to send your lotus now. Wait until it dies back in the fall or you'll lose it.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I thought it would be ok cause it dosent really have a tuber yet,but if it will die than disregaurd the lotus.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's making a tuber. I read on theplantplace.com, a water plant source that you don't ever want to move your lotus while it has green leaves. Just for what it's worth:)

Thanks,I didn't know. Can I get everyone to ignore the lotus!!!I'll wait till fall to trade those. Sorry. But everything else is still avalable

Hi,

I am willing to wait on the lotus plants... I have a few black taro, Imperial taro and lots of green taro.

Please keep me in mind in the fall...

Cheers,

Are the cattails miniatures? I have some beautiful ajuga which is a nice ground cover around the pond as long as it's not boggy

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

did I already ask you to save a Mrs Slocum seed if you get one??? if I didn't, can I ask now??

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Woodsprite,no the cattails are the regular wild ones, sorry,I had miniature cattails but the swans ate them 2 years ago and I never found anyone who had some to trade. tiG, theres seeds forming!!Don't know if they'll be ready before frost but I keeping my fingers crossed. And your name is on at least one of them.
