CLOSED: Have Aloes to trade

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

I have Aloe microstigma, Aloe peglerae and Aloe variegata. All are from seed and nearly a year old, I need to move out 200 of these plants very soon or they go in the trash. I will entertain all trades, seeds, cuttings etc.

sending you a dmail. thanks, julie

It's getting chilly here, do you think they'd survive the trip? It might be worth a try...

I've got a bunch of different seeds available (basils, flowers, tomatoes, hot peppers) and would be happy to send whatever you'd like along with some extra postage (since aloe plants weigh more than seeds).

I just looked these up in PF, and I think I'd better pass on the first one, because it looks like it can get pretty large.... The other two, I can probably find spaces for. The variegata is especially lovely, I think! :-)

Armando,
I am sorry to hear that.

I'm sorry too!

I never got any response to my offer of seeds or postage, so I figured he wasn't interested or had popped back out of DG. I checked his feedback just now, and he had a couple of good comments from other traders that I know... maybe something happened? Has he posted or responded to Dmails at all?

In any event, if you sent but did not receive a trade and have had no response to your attempts to contact him, please do post a comment to that effect on his feedback. You can always change the feedback if a problem is resolved, but others should know that he's having problems following through on trades.

He responded to my original dmail stating wanted payment immediately, but when I responded to ask more details I've not heard another word.
I guess it's possible some emergency happened, but to not post anything to anyone it would have to be pretty bad.

I have had bad trades in the past, but my gut feeling tells me this ins't one of them. Something isn't adding up. I think something has happen to him or emergency of some kind. I am not giving up hope just yet. I just pray nothing serious has happen to him. Plants can be replaced people can't.

Patti, that's what's worrying me also. Generally, when a "bad trader" disappears, it'll be somebody fairly new who arranged a bunch of profitable "trades" to benefit only themselves... but there's only this thread of open trades that I'm aware of, and I don't think I've seen him posting anywhere else on DG either. I wasn't worrying about his not contacting me because I thought it would be a little iffy shipping aloes here in December anyway. Hopefully he'll resurface soon and make things right with all of you!
