To all those I have promised to send cuttings and such last week, I apologise for not sending them. This past week, everything that could go wrong did go wrong. My car decided to suicide along with my large format printer in the middle of a job. My hot water heater sprung a leak and my 2nd hand freezer decided it wanted a vacation.
I will try my best to get everything out tomorrow.
I am so sorry!

Wow, well you made me feel better. I don't have any cuttings coming from you, but you really had a run of bad luck. Just remember, you are getting all the bad karma out and then watch out, good luck will be coming your way!!!
Rebecca
I didn't have any cuttings coming from you either, but you made me feel better about my problems - clutch went out on my car; car held for hostage at garage for 5 days, had to borrow $$$ from employer to cover 1/2 the cost; botched up payoff for my mortgage on my refinance; all happened this week.
How did your car commit suicide? I'd like to know so that I can look for early warning signs.
u dont owe me cuttings either but dont feel badly u aent he only one w horrible karma!!!
last christmas our car was hit & run- the tenants in my apt bldg trashed the place & moved in middecember causing the plumbing there to burst- then our car was hit causing thousands in damage & out plumbing went in our house christmas eve!!at the same time city was on us for our back tax payments as wed gotten behind fixing all that damage!!!!we has a horrible christmas & i was scared on new years as i wondered what else was going to hit us this year!!!
I never have fixed that car as no ins ded money at christmas & after a month ins wont cover it anymore....I got thru winter by selling on ebay & slowly but surely repaired all the damage to our home & rental but things will get better just hang in there & keep gardening its very theraputic!!!! :)
Lol,
I don't feel so bad. Please keep the disaster stories coming!
The thermostat for the cooling system went kaplooey. Nothing scarier than stopping at a stoplight and seeing steam come out from under your hood and hearing water/anti-freeze boiling.

Wow! Y'all sure have had some bad Karma! I can't feel so bad. All thats happened with Me and Machines lately is that my clothes dryer went out (I figured it was a good excuse not to have to do laundry, LOL!)!!!
And, yesterday I was in the grocery store when I heard an announcement for a customer who owns a white Mitsubishi to come to the office. The store manager said my car had been hit in the parking lot and that a witness was calling the police. There was a young lady on her cell phone calling the police and trying to tell me that some man hit a stop sign, then a cement pole, then my car and that he was still driving around in the parking lot. She pointed out the other car and I ran through the parking lot after them. It was an 89 year old lady! I waved at her to stop and told her she hit my car and she started crying saying she was so sorry and that her car wasn't driving right. She started to leave and I told her she needed to stay right there until someone came to check it out. Luckily no one was hurt in the mishap .... she was a bit confused and kept wanting to drive off. Finally the police arrived and wrote out a report. I felt so sorry for her. She told the police that something was wrong with her car (an 89' Chevy Corsica) and that it wasn't steering right. She wanted the police to drive it and see for themselves! The young officer at first told her he wasn't allowed to do that, but then asked his Sgt. if he could check it out. He got into her car and drove it all over the parking lot and came back and said it seemed perfectly fine to him! They told her she could have it towed to a garage or to her home, but she didn't have the money. She lives in Gvt. housing. I felt so sorry for her. I asked them did they have to give her a ticket and they said no, since there were no injuries. I was just so thankful that she didn't hit a pedestrian ... the witness was a young woman VERY pregnant had her younger child, a toddler .... walking right near my car when it happened!
So, I'm waiting on Insurance to figure it all out ... about $500 damage to my car according to the police report, but I'm waiting on the Insurance Adjuster to take a look at it to find out for sure. That little lady probably shouldn't be driving, her car was old and had a lot of dents in it already, the driver door didn't even close tightly!
The funny thing is, she lives about 10 miles North of here! I asked her why she came all the way to South Daytona to go to the store ... she said she had been to Bingo in a little city just South of us and was on her way home, but stopped to buy some muffins! I hope she plays Bingo closer to home from now on! Whew! It sure is lucky that no pedestrians were hit .... busy store and busy parking lot with folks walking to and from their cars! I called her later to make sure she got home okay and she did! She still couldn't figure out why her car was driving "funny" when she hit mine and now it was okay! I told her she might want to take it to a mechanic to have it checked out! LOL.
Have a Safe and Uneventful 'rest of the week' !

Had to chime in. : )
I am not owed cuttings, but wanted to tell X and the others that they are not alone. My $200 waterfall pump blew up last week, along with my 12,500 gallon swimming pool (which is now closed for the winter) springing a leak. Nothing like having to play in the water when it's only 20 degrees out, lol.
We also had a bad windstorm and a beautiful, resin snowman that I just put outside blew over and off with his head!
Waaaaa!
It could be worse, I guess. ; )
Keep your chins up everyone, and happy holidays!
Hope everyone's Karma is getting better....this should at least cheer you up and make you smile!
Merry Christmas everyone!

HI All ,I wanted to tell u all a story as we were all cursing our own bad luck ...my tv broke today &my car wouldnt start ...it finally did but it has something bad happening to it & as I had such a bad winter last yr (see story above!) I was wondering what else would happen as I swear I dont hate christmas-christmas hates me..I then saw a teenage girl hit by a car today outside of my house & went home &hugged my kids & counted my blessings..after all no tv & no car may be an invconvience but at least we are all ok this holiday season count your blessings & hug your own children...
I left on a vaction/hunting trip that week. Picked the motorhome up at one house and took it to ther other where we park for our hunting trips appox. 2 miles difference. Well brakes went completely out, but made it safely. Then the ice storm decided to hit power outage, no big deal I still have heat but had to keep starting the motorhome to charge the batteries for the 12 volt light and furnace to kick on. Generator not wanting to work, took out carberator to repair and broke a piece off in the prossess oh well it actually is working however the motorhome is low on gas now due to starting and running it so long that now the generator wont start (saftey mechanism so motorhome wont run out of gas), so run to town to get gas in gas cans and pour it in and my goodness that stupid generator is not working again found out that it was due to the deep cycle battery that literally blew to pieces (needed to jump start the generator) went to town again 10 miles away to get batteries and what do you know now the generator is running 20 hours later. But oh my goodness the power company is here now and power back on in 20 minutes....lol And now both 4 wheelers brakes and reverse are frozen do to the rain earlier. Hunting ended up being a bust so went home and let me tell you the welcome home decorations quite different. The neighbors tree decided to rest its weary head onto our boat, Our tree had every top limb busted off and lying in the garden,, back yard and the other neighbors dog pen. Poor dogs......well I guess he had plenty of trees to pee on....lol......The new pond which so far is just a gigantic hole in the ground is now an Ice Skating rink, front ponds pump and automatic filler frozen solid. Now the hoses leak all over (new ones will fix that though) have to fill it buy hand daily now.
I am not upset by all of this. I actually had to laugh at all of it because it is all quite fixable just alittle time consuming. I really had to laugh cuz hubby kept his cool which is not normal for him in these situations. However he still got mad. But did he stop to think how lucky we really are. Let me tell you all of this is nothing compared to alot of people who lost water pipes and food due to the power outage being for several days for them. And some even lost their lives due to hypothermia.
Now tell me just how unlucky were we. NOT. We have lost nothing but time and alittle money. It is nice that we can sit here and laugh at the things that have happened to us, no matter how bad we sound with our storys, cuz we all know that we still have the world. And other DGers to laugh and share with us.
All I can say is God Bless all of us to help us through these tough times and give us the power to help those less fortunate than us.
