Allison, I love the sport. What a beautiful shade of blue. The chirita is gorgeous. I am trying to wait patiently for my chirita to bud. Both are very young plants.

Their fun plants to grow ! My Chiritas I had not got them to bloom for a long time. When we moved over Oct 30th they have been living on the screen porch they got happy and starting shooting up bloom stalks !

(Zone 1)

Allison: I keep forgetting to ask .... how old, or large do Chritia's have to be before they bloom? Mine are just little babies, but I can't wait for them to grow up to see what they are gonna look like blooming! Are they very fast growers? I'm hoping next Spring, or possibly early Summer to have blooms.

I fount they are virgorous growers, and need not be large to bloom. Though different ones grow different sizes like Av's some are Minature and so on.
My Chirita sinensis 'Hisako' bloomed young . This picture is of it in October 2005 and still a baby. She grew really big and I took lots of leaves off of her to share and to progate .
You should have blooms for sure by Spring !
Light is important
This is one of my favorite links for growing them.
