It is supposed to get to about 28 tonight so I just had to take one last photo before the freeze stops the show. This plant has been growing in the ground for six years now. It gets cut back hard each winter after the first freeze of the season. This is the only brug I have and I really know little about it. Maybe someone could help ID it? Also this is my first post here. I have enjoyed reading the many threads. Lane near New Orleans.

Lane your brug is beautiful... I have several now... I honestly became addicted to brugs.
I haven't been in Daves garden for a while...been careing for God Father...alzheimers..
Finally renewed my subscribtion just today...
I have a few species of brugs now...no white..if you cut back on her or him.. I would love to have a start...have no white..
I have about 10 seed pods on tri color..orange, yellow, pink that I would love to do some trading on...when she is ready..
I have her in the house now...I keep looking for the seed pods to be ready so I can cut her back... She is over 8' tall and leaning over in the house. I am in zone 6 in KY...
I am interested in all tropicals...
My precious hubby took me to Hawaii and I fell in love with tropicals..
Trying to recapture Hawaiian look around inground pool... Making a big dent...
Will post pic...

Lane,
I'm new to brugs, but if you get a closer pic of a bloom, I'm sure someone will speak up. These are some of the most friendly people. Wish I could help more.
Mary
Well Lane, I can't ID your brug, but I sure can compliment you on her! She is beautiful and I bet the fragrance is awesome! Is that by your entry? A show stopper for sure! Thank you for sharing your beautiful picture.
Welcome Peggy.. Your garden is lovely too... I love tropical.. very nice
The plant is on the south side of our home just around the corner from our front entry and front porch. My wife and I enjoy sitting on the porch swing during the evenings and the fragrance is indeed intense. With a light breeze the scent of this plant can be detected several hundred feet away. We love it!
Peggy, I sent you a PM and Mary, I will get a close up posted later today.
Very pretty. You sure aren't lacking for blooms on that plant.
Thanks Brugie! It's loaded for sure. More blooms this year than ever before. I took Mary's suggestion and posted a few close up photos to get help with an ID. They appear in a new thread titled "ID Request - Unknown White".
