A year plus ago there was a tiny little leaf of Vespa Verde , it took forever to grow babies to share !
This is the first and one and only green and white variegated wasp plant by
David Senk :))
Then there were surprises two tiny buds !
Vespa Verde (D. Senks) It has white wasp blossoms variably edged in green.Variegated Foliage, Delicate Green-edged Wasp Blossoms "Vespa Verde" Vespa Verde blooms easily and its medium green semi-miniature occasionally-bustled foliage forms a nice rosette Semiminiature (User Database)

I watched these buds each day for over a month wondering if they were ever going to open !

Then I got some tiny bgi pretty surprises :))
The wait was worth it . They are cream white with green thou the green was hard for me to capture.
I say this plant grows on the Miniature size.

Wow, that is just elegant! Goes to show that patience IS a virtue :)

Seems like I had some leaves that took forever but eventually they do their thing and make more babies...all I had to do was wait. Thanks for the picture and the story, Allison!!

I'm glad I kept one baby :))
Jan ( Jannich) baby is bigger and well grown nice than mine I feel but she has no buds yet soon I'm sure !
Amy has one how is yours Amy ?
I forget who else got one.
About two plus years ago I bought two leaves from the plant and grew 7 babies all of which sold for about $30.00 each. I did not keep any then. When David sold them they'd go 50.00 up even to hindred $$. I notice now his plants don't always go as high $$.
So last year when I had a chance to buy another set of leaves I grabbed at it . I still have two tiny babies from suckers but they seem slow growing. I need to give them to someone else then they will grow faster :))

I was given a leaf of Celery. The leaf produced 1 baby. I am hoping I will have some wasp blooms from that plant. The leaves are very unusual with bustlebacks.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh Celery is a fun wasp plant to grow ! Hope it does well for you.
