Hello:I am fairly new to brugmansias.I have 2 brugmansia plants overwintered indoors.These plants was started from seeds.Is it normal for them to produce leaves while being indoors? How do I know when the plants produce a so called Y? Both plants has the woody stem. Any advice will be appreciated?I have enjoyed!all the wonderful photos.Thanks!

yes it is normal for them to produce leaves inside if your house is warm. i have a few in a room thats about 60 degrees and they are loving it.
a Y is just that a y that forms in the main stalk. ity will look like a y. it depends on how old the plant is . since they were started from seed its a wait game on them. the ones i have seen on here that have been started from seed to bloom is usually the next season after starting.
Thanks! for the information.I will keep my eye out on the progress on the brugs.hopefully I will see blooms next year.My house is warm.I dont have a basement.I will keep my eye out for the Y to develop.
