BEST Sugar Cookies

I've eaten a lot of sugar cookies in my day and I must say, this recipe really truly is BETTER, SOFTER and SWEETER than any other I've enjoyed. It's not my recipe (comes from radio host Glenn Beck) but as he posted the recipe for all on his website last Christmas I am assuming it would be okay to post it here as well....it's just to good not to share.

Glenn Beck's Grandma Janssen's Sugar Cookies

1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 level teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 level teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon butter flavoring
4 1/2 cups flour

1. mix all but the flour throughly. then stir in flour.
2. roll out the cookie dough to 1/8" thickness (yep it's thin). cut out shapes and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. I do them for 8 minutes exactly for perfect softness...they will still be white not golden or crispy.
