"winmail.dat"? How to open?

Hi Folks,
I just rec'd some info I requested from a company I deal with but when I open it it is all in some sort of coded garble-de-gook.

I've tried opening it with Word, tried opening it with datafile (default).

Does someone know what it takes to properly view this file?

(Am working on Win2K)
Edited to say I just tried Excel and also Notepad. (Click Properties and it said "opens with Notepad" but it didn't work.)
