Best Hand Vac for Kitty Hair

We are moving into our new home this week. I will now have a huge flight of stairs that are carpeted.

Need a recommendation for a hand vac or a very lightweight cannister type vac to remove all the kitty hair that I know my 6 girls are going to love to leave there for me.

I have my Dyson but the hose is nowhere long enough .......
