WOW Dick, this one is too cool. Where did you get it? Patricia just gave me a baby Alocasia macrorrhizos 'Variegata.' I am so petrified I will kill it. I have been coveting it ever since I saw it at the SF Arb.

an old friend gave it to me last summer as a very small pup
it got TLC this last winter & is looking good :-)
it is the only Alocasia i had survive the move

So how did you keep it going? I need advice. Mine is in a 4 inch pot. I have in on my seedling table under lights inside my house. Should I keep it on the dry side?

under lights in the make shift garage GH
watered with 1/4% MG when dry
it did get leggy under the lights :-)
then i moved it out into the sun this spring & it thrived
it is now ready to pot up

So it was warm? I have to water more with fertilizer like you do. If my clivia do not bloom this year I will kick myself. Do you ever switch to lower N with your clivia as spring approaches?
