CLOSED: 07 trades:Glads & lilies for iris, clematis, daylily, dahlia

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

I will trade glads and lilies (Asiatic, Oriental, Orienpet, Trumpet) offered through the coop (I'll add to my order your choices) for
Clematis "Jackmanni"
Siberian Iris
Cesar's Brother
Jamaican Velvet

Bearded Iris:
Immortality
Orange Majesty (I've been thinking about this since woodthrush's coop, that I missed)
Badlands
Baltic Star
Pagan Dance
Impact
Tennessee Vol
(or others; I like solid, dramatic colors, not pastels particularly, and those with fragrance and durability)

Daylily, "Star of India"

A purple, unusual, strong-minded spider type dahlia; it will be my only one that will be special in memory of a friend who grew dahlias. :-)

We'll need to arrange these trades by Tuesday. To see if there is something you'd like, if you have the plants I covet, or might tempt me with others, check the Blooming Bulb Co-op thread. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/672627/ It's closed, but there is a list of cultivars offered in the first and second posts. The first includes links. The second is what is actually being ordered. If you see what you like, please d-mail me an offer of what you feel is a fair trade, and we'll go from there. Keep in mind, if what you want has a low number of orders and likely won't make the final cut, I probably won't want to trade with it, unless it helps make the minimum for other participants :-)
Thanks!
I hope I'm not violating any rules by offering to trade this way. I had thought to buy extras for trading anyway, so might as order the extras specifically.

Hi 4paws, I would love a purple dahlia from you. Just divide the amount by 5 of the dahlias you order and add that amt. to my bill/order???
If you don't want to do that, I will have dahlias too to trade next spring also. Let me know.

Daisyruffles, I can't buy the dahlias from BB - no ship to CA for blooming bulbs. So I'm looking to trade some glads or a lily for a dahlia, and the iris.

:-)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'm already in the co-op, and if you're interested in doing a spring trade, I have a clump of 'Immortality' iris that I think needs dividing and moving in the spring. ;-)

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

That's right. I totally forgot about you being in CA. Sorry. Duh!

4 paws, I have Dahlia Purple Gem that really needs to be divided. It's a true purple, cactus type dahlia if you are interested.

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

Jessmerritt, Absolutely! Thank you. I'll dmail you.

Critter, thank you!

Pittsburgh, PA

hi jess lmk if youd trade me anything for some of that dahlia...jean

Actually, I do have a few clumps left. What do you have? I know you keep a large stock, lol. I don't suppose you have any bulbs or things of that nature that would ship easier during winter weather. If not I could hold off for a spring trade.

4paws, How's the trip? I'm not sure if you're back yet, but keep me in mind for when you are becuase I still have your dahlia clump on hold.

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

Oh, do you want to send it now or wait til I have your glads? or lily? I know I got whichever you wanted, now I don't remember which! :-) I suppose it's plantable now here, since I'm still planting bulbs. I was thinking about your dahlia, in fact!

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

I'm still interested in trading; I have many extras. :-)

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Would you be interested in Siberian Iris seeds? I also have 4 plants that I started this past spring. I'd be interested in your asiatic lilies.

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

Hi X, I'd be interested in plants, not seeds. :-)
Which iris?

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

It's the Siberian Iris, but they are just babies, not even a year old. I have 5 of them.

Cute. What color? How long will they take to bloom?
Is there a particular lily you want?

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I don't have a clue as to when they will bloom or the color.

I received the seeds in a trade and have never grown them before. In my experience, bulb plants grown from seed can take 1 to 2 years to bloom. They form the bulb in the first year. Since I have them in the greenhouse they are actively growing without a winter rest so it seems to speed up the process a bit.

If you are still interested I'd be interested in the Coral Sunrise Asiatic lily for all 5 of the babies.
