Canna Lily 'Chocolate Cherry'
Canna x generalis

One of the nicest dark-leaved cannas out there!! It isn't a rampant spreader either, easily kept where you want it, but makes a nice clump in a couple seasons!

Excellentn design correlation with the dark-leafed shrub in the background. Great plant. Who is the brug in bloom?

You are the only one to notice that color echo with the Loropetalum 'Razzleberri' behind the dark Canna! I want to get a few more dark leaved plants to tie it in better......but I LOVE that you picked up on it!!

The Brug in the picture is one I actually successfully over-wintered in my garage, the first time I managed to do that! It is 'Miss Anna' and I think she is my favorite!! She covers herself in HUGE blooms, re-blooms quicker than my others, and I really like her fragrance more than a lot of Brugs, it's a bit sweeter, not quite as musky as some. And the pink, flared blooms are exquisite - there are so many pinks out there, but she is really special!!

Thanks for your kind post! Have a Great day!!

What I noticed was how there are multiple colours in the flowers- a pink, a white background, and green veins. I have not heard of 'Miss Anna,' thanks. And I think it is important to tell a person when he/she is doing something very nicely. Keep on with the good (garden) work!
(And if you discover any nice burgundy-leafed groundcovers, let me know)

Kenton~~

This is such a new garden, and I have so much to do!! It was nothing but tilled soil 6 months ago. I have spent so much time planning, and planting that sometimes I forget to look at it as a whole. But taking pics, and showing them to other gardeners, is such a great way to get feedback! And I agree, letting someone know you appreciate what they are doing is so important! Thank-you for doing that for me!

And when I find what I am looking for ...Burgundy leaved 'something' to tie it all in better - you will be the first to know!
