This Thanksgiving I am thankful for . . .

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Thought I would start a thread for today. I am thankful for:

Good hospital and family care for my neighbor so that he will reach his XC th birthday next month
A girlfriend who joins me in cooking new googled recipes each Thanksgiving making a new family-away-from-family for both of us
Good health, a job (or actually two), my own yard to dig and plant in as I please, a warm, safe house to live in
People who don't walk away when I wax on (here is your opening, Al) and on about plants and seeds and flowers and worms - youse guys!
Fresh herbs from my garden to give to the people at work for their Thanksgiving dinner who will then forgive me for waxing on and on and on during the year
Last but not least -- cattails

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm thankful for a few good friends that make up my extended family.
A superior dog, Sidekick Sarah, who could not join us today at a lovely feast. She got a special treat when I got home.
Work that I like that pays the bills.
A comfortable home with a big yard.
And for NOT having teenage kids like three that came to todays gathering.
A very full tummy.

I am thankful to have my close family here with me today and my granddaughters staying for a couple days because they are the light of my life.
Feeling well enough this year to cook my traditional dinner.
A beautiful sunny day.
My home that I love with a yard big enough to garden and play and grow almost anything I want.
Living where I do where peace is a given and something we take for granted.

~A nice home, which is paid for.
~A job which I appreciate and have not grown to be tired of or despise in 27 years.
~Two sons who have grown to be good, likeable, compassionate human beings.
~That I have found the secret to peace and contentment, which comes from Faith in a loving God and Salvation by His Son.
~That I have a husband who has been faithful to me for a lot of years, and who I know will remain by my side throughout the rest of our lives.
~Some remarkably true friends in this world, whom I cherish and love.
~Dave's Garden. I love this place. It's the only site I visit every single day.
~My daily visits to the nursing home where I can light up someone's life simply by walking through the door.
~A whole bunch more, but I see I've used up a lot of space. Next?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

My big beautiful family which is in every breath I take.
Good friends and neighbors who stand by you.
DG and all the wonderful people here.
Being married to, and still in love with, an old fashioned, honest, country boy who is loyal, patient and kind.
And my memories, so I can spend time again with loved ones who have passed.
